OZONE UV RADIATION

Antimicrobial Protection

Ozone is produced by UVC lamps without the titanium dioxide coating that attenuates frequencies below 200 nanometers. At the 187 nanometer limit, it dissolves oxygen molecule to form two unstable O atoms which in turn fuse with another O2 to form O3. Ozone is a powerful oxidant with antibacterial properties. It destroys any organic element in the air stream, as well as fats and oil particles. Ozone has a very short lifespan and at normal enviromental temperatures, it transforms back into oxygen after only 20 ÷ 30 minutes.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The treatment of odors and grease through the production of ozone is a scientific achievement and is characterized as the most efficient measure to date. However, in cases where a lot of smoke is produced during the cooking process or industrial application, it is recommended to use an electrostatic filter (RY Series) or to cooperate with AIRTECHNIC's CLEAN units.
